Computerworld: ISO officials, others dispute claims that Open XML meeting was flawed
Eric Lai has a balanced piece on the BRM. There are some interesting snippets in there too, like this (my emphasis)
Updegrove, who attended last week's meeting as an observer, has been outspoken in his criticism of what took place in Geneva. "People here are disgusted," he told Computerworld by phone from Geneva last Friday. "The absurdity of trying to do this by a 'fast track' process became quite apparent this week."
Andy didn't attend the meeting as an observer at all, he was in Geneva to speak at the anti-BRM event but, like several other anti-OpenXML speakers from the same event, stayed on afterwards apparently. It now seems apparent that this was nothing less than a cynically orchestrated attempt to undermine the process.
