I work for Microsoft, currently as European Regional Technology Officer. Current and future technology policy is the major focus of my work, which brings me into contact with all kinds of interesting people in governments across Europe and competitors globally.
I am a strong believer in the benefits of commercial software, and of software companies, but I don't object to Open Source or Free Software. I do object to policy preferences that restrict the freedom to choose - either way.
