I work for Microsoft, currently as Regional Technology Officer for Europe, the Middle East & Africa.
Current and future technology policy is the major focus of my work, which brings me into contact with all kinds of interesting people in governments across EMEA and competitors globally.
I am a passionate believer in the benefits of software. I've worked for software companies for more than 15 years. I'm also a passionate adv\ocate of commercial software. I don't object to Open Source or Free Software, and in previous roles they've been important parts of my work. I do object to policy preferences that restrict the freedom to choose - either way.
